Description:

Codfish has long been a treasured, life-sustaining catch in Labrador — so central to survival and culture that its decline hit deep, leading to a moratorium that lasted until 2025. This piece honors that history: the patience of waiting, the resilience of a community tied to the sea, and the quiet hope that comes with recovery.

Painted in acrylic on canvas, Codfish holds that story in color and form — a tribute to a fish, a place, and a people who endured the wait.

An original, one-of-a-kind piece. Once sold, it will not be reproduced.
